Acrylic Mounting is a contemporary method of displaying photographs. Your photo print is intensified when mounted under acrylic. The colours are more vivid and there is a sense of extra depth.
All Prints are produced on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper, Light Blocking (opaque) film is applied to the back of the print, an optically clear adhesive is then used to face-mount the print on premium 4.5mil or 3mil Acrylic.
The acrylic is put through a sanding and buffing process that brings the edges to a clear polished finish. Float framing is available for this option, see our framing options for more information.
The edge of saw cut acrylic is left unpolished, and slightly rough. Typically, these are intended for use within a frame.

An information sheet for proper cleaning and handling of the acrylic material is included with all completed orders. Cleaning, polishing, and scratch removal kits are available separately.
Acrylic pieces can arrive ready to display by selecting one of the following four options:
Drilled stainless steel or black nickel stand-off posts that are mounted thru the acrylic. When this option is selected the acrylic arrives pre-drilled and ready for installation.
Hook type stainless steel or black stand-off posts that are secured to the finished edges of the acrylic.
Set of aluminum (U-Channel) hanger bars (top and bottom) that space the finished piece a 1/2 inch away from the wall surface.
A solid frame secured at the corners with tapped angle and backplates. Creates a 3/4 inch separation from the wall surface.
Hanger Bars and Neilson Metal moulding are designed to be mounted behind the image to provide a “hidden” shadow mount. A special aluminum Monarch Z Clips (hanging system), screws, and drywall anchors are packaged and included with both options.
Includes a print mounted to foam board with a lustre laminate, framed with an open back and wall buddy.
Digital mattes are an excellent alternative to traditional cardboard matting and are available in both single and double styles. A black or white colour choice is as easy as a mouse click and extended colour choices are endless by using our built-in colour pick option; select a colour within your image and instantly it is applied to the matte. When choosing a double matte the colour of both the inside and outside mattes can be controlled independently. The finished look provides all the beauty and sophistication of a custom matted print without leaving the studio, and, there is no extra cost.
